# Setting up notifications

See how to turn on notifications, choose who receives which ones, and what each notification means.

Customers 1st can notify you and your colleagues when something requires your attention – for example, a new booking, an item that has arrived for a work card, or a new order from the webshop. You choose which notifications each employee should receive.

## Enable notifications

1. Go to **Settings** → the **General** tab, and scroll down to **Notifications**

2. Check **Enable notifications**

3. In the table, click the field next to each employee under the notifications they should receive

![Notification settings show notifications being enabled and a table of users and events, where checkmarks indicate selected notifications. Visible: Notifications, Enable notifications, Name, Stock level for item below minimum, Pending items for work card received, Stock transfer received.](https://staticfiles.gleap.io/ghelparticle/TwLqrgv5gk1qbuRgmv5o5vhbpV0mfgMv4PqgdklrZr90VcQ2tIyDSh0goF8plJjjjKRnMyiQqv3.png)

For example, notify only the warehouse employee about stock transfers, and only the mechanic about items that have arrived for a work card.

New notifications appear by the **bell** at the top of the system. Click a notification to go directly to what it relates to.

When you receive items into stock and there are now enough to fulfill a work order with the status New or Pending that is missing that item.

**Stock transfer received**

**SMS reply**
