There can be different service requirements depending on the product in question. For example, there might be a need for different intervals between reminders, or even differences in the number of reminders.
Before you can add the various service reminders, you need to create templates for them. You do this by going to Settings - SMS and Email. Here, under Service Reminders, you can add a new group. Once the group is created, give it an appropriate name and add service reminders at the interval that is suitable for the group.
It is possible to create multiple templates. So if, for example, you need another group for cargo bikes, scooters, or something else, you can create them. For some types of reminders, it may make sense to edit the standard text in a reminder. This is done by clicking on "Edit standard template". In our editor, you can easily edit the text and add information you think is missing from your template.
When you have created the reminder groups you need, you can now add them to your sold bikes/serial items. In this case, we have sold an electric bike to a customer and would like to select the service reminders we have made specifically for electric bikes. When completing the bike sale, you click on "Create Service Reminders."
Afterwards, you will see the options that were previously created under the settings. By default, the system marks the group of service reminders set as the standard.
If a checkmark is placed in another group of service reminders, it will be that interval and quantity that are sent out.
If you want to see the specific dates for a service reminder, you need to click on the name of the group, after which the dates will "unfold."
Note! It is possible to select multiple groups at once, after which all marked service reminders are added to the item.
This can be practical if you sell products with special service needs. It can be a mountain bike where there is separate service for the front fork but also a need for general check-ups. It can also be a lawnmower where there are regular motor check-ups, but perhaps winter storage is purchased, and an SMS can be sent to the customer to inform them that it is time to drop off for storage.
The possibilities are endless!
