If you've received your new Metapace T-3 USB receipt printer, just read along here to get started printing receipts right away. The setup is quick and easy, but of course you're always welcome to write to our support if you run into problems or have questions about the setup.
Start by connecting the printer to your PC with the included USB printer cable. (Orange)
Then connect the printer to power with the plug from the power supply. Remember to plug it in the right way or you can damage the pins on the plug. (Green)
OPTIONAL - Connect your cash drawer's cable to the RJ12 port at the back of the printer. (Red)
Run the installer as administrator.
Click Next.
When the installer asks which port you want to use, make sure USB is selected.
Once that’s done, just wait for the driver installation to finish.
6. After the printer driver is installed, you should be able to find the receipt printer in your printer list in Windows. The printer is called "Metapace T-3II".
If you don’t see the printer right away, you can try restarting the printer by turning it off and on again at the front.
Log in to the system.
Go to Settings.
Select the Print tab at the top.
Under Receipt you should now be able to select the system printer from the drop-down list.
Note: If you can only choose Web browser, it's because you haven't installed Printdesk, which you need to print directly from the system to the printers.
When the receipt printers are selected in the list, you can hit the Test button and it should print a test receipt on the printer.
Note: As a rule, we don't recommend messing with the settings below unless the print looks wrong.
