If you have a card reader (magnetic stripe card reader) you can scan your customers’ health insurance cards to fill out their basic info in the system.
Note: You need a supported magnetic card reader - the barcode on the health card can’t be scanned. If you don’t have one, we recommend this type.
This includes:
Full name
Address
Postal code
City
Make sure your card scanner is connected to your computer via USB cable and is turned on.
Create customer via work card (case)
1. Click on the module Work card
2. Select the New bike sale
3. Press Register a new customer
4. Swipe the customer's health card through the card reader.
5. The customer's info will automatically be fetched from the card and filled into the correct fields. This might take a few seconds to load.
Note: You can't get the email, phone number, or date of birth from the card.
Create customer via customer module
1. Click the Customers
2. Select the + Customer (Blue button)
3. Swipe the customer's health card through the card reader.
4. The customer's info will automatically be fetched from the card and filled into the correct fields. This might take a few seconds to load.
Note: Not all types of card readers are supported and we can't guarantee that your model will work.
