# Fetch customer info from health card

Here’s how you get customer info using the health/insurance card.

If you have a card reader (magnetic stripe card reader) you can scan your customers’ health insurance cards to fill out their basic info in the system.

**Note: You need a supported magnetic card reader - the barcode on the health card can’t be scanned. If you don’t have one, we recommend** [**this type**](https://www.av-cables.dk/usb-magnetkortlaeser/usb-magnetkortlser-sort.html)**.**

**This includes:**

-   Full name
    
-   Address
    
-   Postal code
    
-   City

## **How to create a customer using the health insurance card:**

_Make sure your card scanner is connected to your computer via USB cable and is turned on._

**Create customer via work card (case)**

1\. Click on the module **Work card**

2\. Select the **New bike sale**

3\. Press **Register a new customer**

4\. Swipe the customer's health card through the card reader.

5\. The customer's info will automatically be fetched from the card and filled into the correct fields. _This might take a few seconds to load._

_Note: You can't get the email, phone number, or date of birth from the card._

**Create customer via customer module**

1\. Click the **Customers**

2\. Select the **\+ Customer** (Blue button)

3\. Swipe the customer's health card through the card reader.

4\. The customer's info will automatically be fetched from the card and filled into the correct fields. _This might take a few seconds to load._

Note: Not all types of card readers are supported and we can't guarantee that your model will work.
