If you haven't done it already, we recommend you first check out the previous guide called, How to use the POS system, before you continue with this one.
The next step in the setup process is to get a handle on how the case management module works, and how you create a case and a new sale.
Basically, there are 2 different functions in Case Management.
The first function is Create case and the second function is New sale.
Create case, is for you if, for example, you need to provide a service like moving or bike repair and therefore need to make a case. New sale, is for you if, for example, you want to sell a bike and maybe some gear for the bike.
What can you do in Case Management?
In case management, you have a complete overview of all your ongoing cases/job cards, click here for more information. You can also create cases and new sales, where you can for example:
Add customer to the case.
Add templates to the case. You can click here for more info about how to make your own templates.
Send a service call-out related to the created case, so the customer knows when to come in for a service check.
Add product.
For a more detailed guide, and a description of what the different sections/fields mean when you're creating a case, you can click here.
If you also want more info about the process after you've created a case, you can click here
By default, Check-in SMS is enabled inside Settings, meaning the customer gets sent an automatic standard SMS when they, for example, drop off their bike for repair, where it also states when the product is ready to be picked up — of course, if you've entered their number. If you want to edit this SMS template, you can follow this guide shown here.
What's the next step?
Now you've tried making cases and/or new sales and sales in the checkout, so you’ve probably added some different customers and their info already. The next step is to get on top of the customer module and check out what you can actually do with your customers' info. Click here for the next step.
